An old man's thoughts

Profile
Stef Enrieu
Stef was born in 1966 and although partially deaf, he went to the main-stream schools of Spon Gate, finally ending up at Blue Coats School which at the time was the first secondary school to have a PHU (Partially Hearing Unit), he finally left school with success of a few degrees, but most importantly enjoying the game of cricket, which ended up with him playing for four clubs over a 14 year period.
He enjoyed riding motorbikes for over 20 years ('Never liked cars'), however a motorbike accident in 2007, which resulted in three operations, meant that he had half of his right foot half amputated and that was the cause of many changes in his life.
Working at various different jobs after his accident, his disability meant it slowly became very uncomfortable to walk for long periods of time. Finally losing his job for medical reasons, he realised that he had the opportunity to start writing.
"I had two beautiful cats until one sadly died from cancer in October 2015. My cats never let me write until they’ve been made a great fuss of. In my spare time I still ride the same bike from the accident which is a Honda Goldwing GL1832 cc. I ride in all seasons, but mostly enjoy riding it in the summer time, travelling all around the UK."
