What Is Man by James McKenzie
There has never been a book written that has so much important information as the bible. It is said that over forty different writers contributed to the writing of the bible. However, the apostle Peter states that no one man formed his own opinion of what to write, but; “Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2nd Peter 1:21) In 1st Corinthians 2: verses 7 through 16, the apostle Paul tells us that the bible is written in a mystery, the hidden wisdom of God, which he ordained before the world. (Verse 7) He goes on to tell us that man, with only mans own spirit to guide him cannot understand the words of God; that only by the Spirit of God can these things be understood. God has made his spirit available to his people, that we may know the things of God.
I am eighty years old, and have been studying the bible from the time I learned to read. I do not claim to be any smarter than anyone else, but according to the teaching of the Apostle Paul, I am included in the group of people that God has given access to the understanding of the scriptures.
That is why I feel qualified to write this book; not because I have great knowledge of my own, but because I have the Spirit of God; or maybe I should say, “He has me.”
